Our heavenly Father loves us very much, and wants to fulfill all of our needs. Think about it – He gave His only Son’s life for us. That is a huge price that has already been paid for us. Of course He wants to give us all the other good things as well!<\/p>\n
\nRomans 8:32 (WEBBE): 32<\/sup>He who didn\u2019t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
God takes care of every single sparrow, for which He didn’t have to pay such a high price. So surely He will take care of us too.<\/p>\n
\nMatthew 10:29-33 (WEBBE): 29<\/sup>\u201cAren\u2019t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father\u2019s will, 30<\/sup>but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31<\/sup>Therefore don\u2019t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.<\/font>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Paul writes to the Philippians that God will<\/em> supply every need.<\/p>\n
\nPhilippians 4:19 (WEBBE): 19<\/sup>My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Why then is our reality too often very different from this promise? The promise is and remains true, to this very day. It is our focus that is wrong. We try so very hard to make it all happen by our own efforts.<\/p>\n
Jesus explains that God’s Kingdom should be our first priority.<\/p>\n
\nMatthew 6:33-34 (WEBBE): 33<\/sup>But seek first God\u2019s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. 34<\/sup>Therefore don\u2019t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day\u2019s own evil is sufficient.<\/font>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
We should focus above all things on living in close relationship with God. He is tremendously generous with His blessings, but He will not force them on us if we choose to limit Him to Sunday morning in church. So we should choose to walk with God every step of the way, and seek first His Kingdom. Then all good things will naturally flow out of that relationship!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
