He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. They knew the sound of His footsteps. Until they decided to turn away from God.

But God had a plan all along to restore us to relationship with Him. When Jesus died and rose, He overcame the devil. And so the relationship was restored, and the Holy Spirit can now live in each and every one of us.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEBBE): 19Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

We don’t need to go to the temple to get close to God. God is in each and every one of us, right now. He will not leave us for even a moment.

Hebrews 13:5 (WEBBE): 5Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”

God has chosen to live in us, because He loves us. In fact, He loved us first and Jesus paid the price long before we were even born.

1 John 4:19 (WEBBE): 19We love him, because he first loved us.

But we still have the same freedom of choice that Adam and Eve had.

We can choose to make God our number one priority. And if we do, we don’t need to worry about anything else.

Matthew 6:33 (WEBBE): 33But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

However, it is also possible to choose to serve worldly things. And you cannot do both at the same time.

Matthew 6:24 (WEBBE): 24“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.

If we make something worldly our priority, God becomes in our minds smaller than that thing. It is of course not really true – it is all a matter of perspective. But you cannot experience everything God has for you if you squeeze Him into a small box in a corner of your life, marked “Open only on Sunday”.

You have the choice. So choose right now to walk with God every moment of your life. You will not be disappointed!

Ephesians 3:14-19 (WEBBE): 14For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, 17that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, 19and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

God wanted since the beginning of creation to walk with human beings.
